Chris Pain

R.I.P. Chris Pain

Some sad news to pass on, our very good friend and Dorset Rock, Chris Pain, passed away a few days ago, Monday 16th February. Unexpectedly and we dont have a lot of details at the moment.

Chris was a big part of the Dorset Crew and will leave a big hole in the club. Our sincere condolences go to Sandy, his partner and all the family. As soon as we have details of the funeral we will post here and on the club's FaceBook page.

Ride Free Chris, we will miss you.

FUNERAL

Just heard that Chris is having a private cremation on Friday 6th March but the Dorset Crew have organised a wake to celebrate Chris' life on Friday 13th March at 12.30 at The Cross Keys Inn, Holt Rd, Wimborne BH21 7JZ.. Later in the year a tree and plaque will be arranged in Chris' memory so anyone wanting to make a donation to this can do so at the wake. For those travelling a distance, you can stay overnight in the car park.

Penny Weare

R.I.P. Penny Weare

Another sister has left us this week, Penny Weare passed away on Wednesay 18th February following a long illness. Penny was one of our original members, she never had a car licence, only her bike licence. She was in the field of nursing and rode her Virago to all her clients houses, all year long. She had to give up riding when her arthris got too bad. Here is a great pic of Penny with her husband Fred at Horsham in the good old days. Go On Then was her favourite saying.

Penny you are gone but not forgotten. Here's to you girl
